HA Nest

A private Home Assistant integration for Google Nest devices

HA Nest connects a self-hosted Home Assistant installation to the Google Nest Smart Device Management (SDM) API. It lets the owner view and control their own Nest devices, such as a thermostat, from within Home Assistant.

HA Nest is a personal, non-commercial application. It is used only by its owner to access the owner's own Nest devices and is not offered to the public.

What HA Nest does

• Reads device status from the Google Nest SDM API, such as temperature, humidity and thermostat mode
• Sends control commands the owner initiates, such as changing the thermostat setpoint or mode
• Receives device event notifications through Google Cloud Pub/Sub so Home Assistant stays up to date
